Why did people choose their school for this program? Why did people choose their school for this program?

"I chose Houston Community College because they offered flexible hours and since I was a single working mother at that time, I needed a program that offered evening and weekend classes. Also, since it is a community college, I was able to use Hazlewood benefits for veterans."
"My college had an accredited Massage Therapy program with job placement assistance. The campus was also very convenient and easy to navigate around."
"I was referred by an alumni. It had what I wanted with a convenient location."

What surprised people about the school they chose? What surprised people about the school they chose?

"Houston Community College is a large system with many campuses in several cities outside of Houston proper that offer many related degree plans to further an educational journey. The wide distribution of campuses and online classes make returning to school very convenient."
"The college does a lot of work online to assist students with potential employers. Emoyers and students are able to interact online through the college's career portal."
"I was surprised how easy it was to get to. I was surprised how nice the staff were. I was surprised how big the campus was."

How do people describe their job hunt? How do people describe their job hunt?

"Finding a job was easy. I started at a national massage membership chain that would often recruit at our college, the pay was reasonable in comparison expected duties. A plus for this job was the fast pace and exposure to many new clients that quickly increased my experience. Approximately six months later, I got an additional job working for a private owner in a full spa setting. The pay was very good and it was a very different experience because the pace was slow and very relaxing for the clients and many clients' visits included multiple services."
"I used the job placement assistance through my college to search for jobs, as well as job search engines. After transitioning from my old sales job, I was able to obtain a job with the advice of one of my instructors."
"I worked with a woman at my school that helped me find work. She got me interviews and I was hired on my 2nd interview. Job hunting for me was relatively easy because my school had my back"
