Why did people choose their school for this program? Why did people choose their school for this program?

"I wanted a mix of science and emotional care-taking/spirituality. I wanted to learn all the muscle groups and the proper procedures, but I wanted lessons on how to care for the client's emotional needs and my own. Other schools in the area seemed to tip too far one way or the other for me."

What surprised people about the school they chose? What surprised people about the school they chose?

"I was surprised by how emotionally difficult the classes and lessons were. My school focused a lot on students needing to sort through their personal issues before they could help others with theirs. There was a lot of crying in the practicum classes."

How do people describe their job hunt? How do people describe their job hunt?

"I live in Austin where there are lots of massage therapy places and the school I went to is well known and respected. I got an offer at the first place I applied, but they had a terrible office. The next week I took a job at a chiropractor's office just out of town. It was only a 20 minute drive from my house and it focused on therapeutic work, which is my passion."
